Frequently asked questions

Can any renal patient receive the haemodialysis treatment in this Centre?

No. Our Centre will, based on the physical conditions of the patient, evaluate whether the patient is suitable for haemodialysis service at our Centre. In order to safeguard the health of other patients, our Centre does not provide service to hepatitis B, hepatitis C or AIDS carriers to avoid cross infection. If the patient has cold and other diseases, this centre will arrange them to carry out the haemodialysis treatment in the independent room, to prevent germ dissemination.

How is this Centre different from other haemodialysis centres or hospitals?

This Centre is a non-profit making haemodialysis centre, aiming at providing excellent-quality, convenient and reasonably-priced haemodialysis service for patients who have financial burden. The operation of this Centre relies on the donation from the Centaline Charity Fund and the kind-hearted public. Renal patients will be looked after carefully by our nurses throughout the whole haemodialysis process. In addition, our Centre also organises various activities to enhance public awareness of kidney health and concerns for renal patients.

Does the Centre provide other allowances or subsidies for patients with financial difficulties?

In view of our financial conditions and burden, we are sorry that we cannot provide financial allowance to patients in the meantime. If patients need financial assistance, we are pleased to refer the patients’ information to our partnering fund “Centaline Charity Fund”. If the Fund approves the patients’ application, the patients will receive $300 subsidy for each haemodialysis treatment at our Centre for one year.
